Preparing the broccoli using steamed basket bamboo:
When we talk about the recipes of broccoli, we often mean the florets. But what about the gorgeous stems that we have at the bottom? Can we use them the same as the broccoli florets? Yes, they are as edible as the florets.
- Take the broccoli as a whole and rinse it well with water.
- Dry the broccoli by shaking it well.
- Now peel off the fiber stems.
- You have the fiber ends peeled off now. Save them because they are also usable. You can make veggie broth out of them.
- Trim off the florets out from the stem.
- Cut the florets into bite-sized pieces.
- Now take the stem and cut the ends where it is tough.
- Now use a peeler or a knife to peel off the skin of the stem.
- You will see a ring at the bottom of the stem. Inside the ring is tender and outside the ring is tough fibrous.
- Once you have the peeled broccoli stems, you can either peel them into tiny little thin noodles or chunkier thicker pieces.
How to steam broccoli and Setting up the steaming basket bamboo:
Take a pan and fill it with 1 inch level of water. Place it on a medium level of heat and let it boil. Now spread the broccoli into the steamer basket uniformly. Use the top tier for this purpose as the broccoli needs slight heat. Place your steaming basket bamboo on the boiling water. Cover the lid of the bamboo steamer tightly and let the food steam for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, carefully remove the lid staying away from it. Season the broccoli with roasted peanuts and mix them well.

Precautions:
- Stay away from the heat source.
