2- Set the water to boil:

Take a pan and fill it with water. The level of water should not exceed 1 inch into the pan. Set it up to boil on a  mild heat. Try the water to boil first before placing the steamer on it. Otherwise, it will be very irregular.

3- Set the bamboo steaming basket onto water:

Now place your steamer basket on the pan in which water is boiling.

Take into account a few things:

  • Bamboo steamer should not be dipped into the water.
  • Size of the pan should be according to the size of the bamboo steamer to avoid any heat leak.
  • Close the lid tightly and do not remove it during the cooking.

4- Drain the steamed cauliflower flowerets:

After 10 minutes, take out the cauliflower from the bamboo steamer basket and drain it.
